Marion Edward Simonds, age 65, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 30, 1958, in Copperhill, TN to the late Bobby Simonds and Shirley Carroll Simonds. Marion was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. He worked for many years as an automotive mechanic and body repair technician. He was a talented guitar player and played lead guitar in numerous local bands throughout the years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathy Johnson Simonds; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Andrew Isley; grandchildren, Landon Isley and Tatum Isley; sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Dale Griffith; niece and nephews, Bryan Griffith, Eli Tipton, Britani Johnson, and Andrew Johnson.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Collis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Nicholson, Ricky Beach, Randy Beach, Jeff Stanley, Dale Griffith, and Brandon Tipton. Honorary pallbearer will be Jim Stanley.
