Marion David Conrad, Sr., age 73, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill. He was born April 20, 1941 to the late James Bradford Conrad and Edna Buckner Kilgariff. Marion worked as a Computer Operations Manager for the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta. He was also preceded in death by his son, Marion D. Conrad Jr. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Martha Conrad of Mineral Bluff; son, Dean A. Conrad of Mineral Bluff; brothers, Brian Kilgariff of Trinity, NC, and Mike Kilgariff of Kernsville, NC; grandchildren, David Anthony Conrad, James Taylor Conrad, Drew Hunter Conrad, and Marley Rae Conrad. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Temple Baptist Church in Morganton. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
