Mrs. Marilyn "Lynn" Phillips, age 83, of Cherry Log, died on May 1, 2014. She was born Tuesday, March 31, 1931 in Reading, PA to the late Ralph and Estella Stout. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Phillips. She is survived by her son, William K. Phillips, Jr. and her daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Kevin Jago; one grandson, Callum Terry Jago; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Pat Phillips and two nieces and one nephew. She retired after thirty years of teaching in PA and south FL to her beloved north GA Mountains. She was very active in the community volunteering with Friends of the Library, Kids Ferst and past President of A.A.R.P. She also enjoyed her hobbies of antiquing and shopping yard sales. She fought a brave battle against several illnesses. She never quit.
