Mrs. Marie Gertrude Marko, age 90, of Canton, GA, passed away on January 4, 2021 in Canton, GA. She was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Edgar and Bertha Jean Brown Elrod. She had worked a number of years for Fisher Body Company in Ohio before returning to Georgia. She was also of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three sons, sisters, Alama Holbert and Arlene Patterson; nephew and niece, Raymond and Helen Smith and Barbara Brown; and several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Graveside services were conducted on Friday, January 8, 2021 from the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Trammel Rhodes officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Charles and Betty Holden.
