Marie Edna Kuykendall, age 92, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 in Chattanooga. Born on June 23, 1925 in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Rose Patterson Chastain. She was a member of Old Union Baptist Church in Young Harris. She was a member of the Morganton Chapter #394 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Robbi Jean Ausburn; and brother, Robert Chastain. She was survived by her son, Dennis Ausburn, age 66, of Brevard, NC, who passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. She is also survived by her husband, Eugene Kuykendall; son, Douglas Ausburn of Alabama; daughter-in-law, Kathy Ausburn of Brevard, NC; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Marie Kuykendall and her son, Dennis Ausburn, were conducted on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. from Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Claude Mathis and Rev.
