Margaret Elizabeth Green, age 82, of Turtletown passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at her home. Margaret was born on July 28, 1943 in Farner to the late Blane Cochran and Pearl Lee Conner Cochran. She retired from Levi's after working as a seamstress for over 20 years. Margaret loved quilting and found joy in creating beautiful quilts for her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Blane and Pearl Cochran; husband, Hollen "Chewy" Green; children, Stanley Baliles, Michael Baliles, and infant son, Harold Herman Baliles; grandson, Samuel Branyon; sister, Janie Cochran; and brothers, Hoyt Cochran, Herbert Cochran, and Henry Cochran.

Margaret is survived by her children, Frances (Wayne) Stiles, Mark Baliles, and Lois Baliles; grandchildren, Crissy (Ben) Miller, Cody Walker, Judson Allen, and Jonathan Branyon; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Halbert (Charlotte) Cochran.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Brett Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Miller, Mark Baliles, Cody Walker, Jonathan Branyon, Judson Allen, and Jeremiah Cochran. The family will visit with friends at the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill of Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
