Marcy Alene Wise, age 70, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA. Mrs. Wise was born on September 25, 1953 in Copperhill, TN. She was the daughter of the late Willard Cross and the late Imogene Talley Bracken. She had worked most of her career in the medical field. She was an auxillary member of the VFW and was a member of the VFW Riders.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Steve Cantrell and Berl Wilson; and siblings, Jerry Cross and Vickie Shroth.

She is survived by her children, Melissa (Ronnie) Godfrey, Shane Wilson, and Laura (Alex) Pickelsimer; grandchildren, Steven (Erin) Hughes, Courtney Malone, Brett Hughes, Trey Dixon, Garrett Dixon, Madison (Elijah) Hedden, Harley (Billy) Mitchlley, Belle Patterson, Raven Nunes, Courtney Wilson, Bentley Dixon, and Jayden McBride; a sister, Johnnie Allen; special nephews, Michael Shroth and Jamie Shroth; a host of other family members and friends.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Wise's life was held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 12:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Mark Reid officiating. Special music was provided by Ronnie Godfrey and Lisa Gentry Bowers. Interment followed at Zion Hill Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Alex Pickelsimer, Ronnie Godfrey, Trey Dixon, Jonathan McHan, Jason Cole, and Jamie Shroth. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Wilson, Kevin Nunes, and Randall Patterson.
