Mrs. Marcella Rose Matthews Busbin, age 67, of Morganton, GA passed away Thursday, January 24, 2007 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Born in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Flake Mattews and Helen Kate Head Matthews. She worked as a lunchroom cook for the Cherokee County, GA School System. She was a member of Wilscott Baptist Church. Mrs. Busbin was an avid gardener and bingo player. She was survived by her husband, Charles Busbin of Morganton; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Bobbie Jo Busin of Jasper, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Darlene and Ted Wheeler of Morganton, GA; brothers, Larry Matthews and Frey Wayne Matthews, both of Catawba, NC; grandchildren, Keri Taylor, Jamie L. Lee, Jason Dean Busbin, and Kristina Busbin; and great grandchildren, Luke Callihan, Dillan Taylor, Kaylie Taylor, and Wyatt Taylor. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Wilscott Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Eulogy will be given by Mrs. Keri Taylor, grandchild of Mrs. Busbin. Pallbearers were Ted Wheeler, Daniel Taylor, Luke Callihan, Dillan Taylor, Bobby Lewis, Jeff Matthews, Mike Daves, and Jason Busbin. Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Busbin, Wiley Busbin, Wilson Daves, Junior Queen, Brandon Lee, and Sammy Smith. Interment followed in Upper Wilscott Cemetery.
