Maggie Lucy Dunn O'Neal, age 92 of McCaysville, GA passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010 in Heritage Healthcare of Blue Ridge, GA. Mrs. O'Neal was born in Fannin County, GA on September 3, 1917 to the late Samuel and Melinda Patterson Dunn. She was a homemaker and member of Macedonia (Hell's Hollow) Baptist Church. Mrs. O'Neal was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Martin O'Neal. Survivors include son, Clyde O'Neal of McCaysville, GA; daughter, Linda Jordan of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Irene Eden of Fort Pierce, FL and Marie Ladiner of Long Beach, MS; special niece, Betty Johnson of Woodstock, GA; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Macedonia (Hell's Hollow) Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin O'Neal and Rev. Ed O'Neal officiating. Music was by The Macedonia Singers. Interment followed in the Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve O'Neal, Dewayne O'Neal, Junior Huffman, Wesley Payne, Hoyt Payne and Jackie Huffman. Condolences may be sent to the family as www.akinsfuneral.com.
