Mrs. Clora "Mae" Weaver Nicholson, age 95, of Copperhill, TN passed away Thursday September 30, 2010. Born in Murray County, GA she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Amanda Burgess Weaver. Mrs. Nicholson had worked for a number of years at Lucy's Cafe in McCaysville as a cook. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Nicholson was also preceded in death by her husband; Clarence T. Nicholson; sons, Clarence Junior Nicholson, Homer Nicholson, Herman Nicholson and Charles Nicholson; daughters, Linda Sue Nicholson and Jeanette Nicholson; grandsons, Ricky Nicholson, Johnny Nicholson and Gene Nobles; great grandsons, Donald Nicholson, Jr. and Riley Marcus Patterson; sisters, Cleo Weaver Powell and Betty Weaver Prince.Survivors include her children, Loretta and David Danley, Brenda and Billy Stover, Ronnie Nicholson and Troy and Diane Nicholson all of Copperhill, TN; Darlene Stepp of Epworth, GA and Doyle and Teresa Nicholson of Ducktown, TN; sisters, Lois Weaver Nicholson of Cleveland, TN and Marie Weaver of Douglasville, GA; 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services were Sunday October 3, at 2:00 p.m. from the Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Burgess and Rev. Jeff Key officiating. Music was provided by Karen Hicks and Homer Johnson. Interment followed in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Larry Stillwell, Kevin Stover, Justin Nicholson, Charlie Nicholson, Rodney Hornsby and Tony Nicholson.
