Macile Stewart, age 76 of Blue Ridge passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Blue Ridge. She was born on December 29, 1942 in Ellijay, GA to the late Harvey Wilson and Rebecca Dale Wilson. Mrs. Stewart was a member of O'Zion Baptist Church for over fifty years. She worked for Levi Strauss and Company and Daycorp as a seamstress. Mrs. Stewart enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, canning and flower gardens. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Hubert Stewart of Blue Ridge, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin (David) Stuart of Blue Ridge, GA and Janene Pope (Rev. Michael) of Blue Ridge, GA; brother, Archie Wilson (Mary) of Blue Ridge, GA; two sisters, Shirley Johnson of Chatsworth, GA and Cora Strickland of Ellijay, GA; five grandchildren, Colby Stanton, Dylan (Sarah) Stanton, and Leah Pope, Devin Stuart and Blair Stuart; great-grandchildren, Asher Stanton, Daxton Stanton, Dylan Tollison, David Tollison and Kaycee Tollison. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Billy Cantrell and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Music will be by Leah Pope, James McGill and O'Zion Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the O'Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins officiating. Colby Stanton, Dylan Stanton, David Stuart, Danny Wilson, Mayford Wilson, Ervin Ensley, Jeff Stewart and Jimmy Underwood will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hoyt Campbell, Hobert Abercrombie, James McGill, Ernest Long and Jackie Cochran.
