Mr. Lynn Carr, age 48, of Murphy, NC passed away on Saturday June 7, 2008 in the Park Ridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Born in Polk County, TN he was the son of the late Elizabeth Ann Stephens Carr and Hoyt Lee Carr, who survives. He was an employee of the Tri-State Electrical Membership Corporation and a member of the Shoal Creek Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents; Rev. Lee and Myrtle Carr, and Clyde and Marchie Stephens. Survivors include his wife, Linda Prince Carr of the home; father and step-mother, Hoyt and Diane Henry Carr of McCaysville, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Robert Kirk of Stevenson, AL; one step-sister, Crystal Martin and husband Brian of Buford, GA; special mother-in-law, Emma Prince of Murphy, NC; nieces and nephews, Joshua Collins, David and Jennifer Prince, Chad, Jeff, and April Jenkins, Andrea and Russell Anderson, Chasity Evans, and Jennifer Kirk; brothers and sister-in-laws, Harold and Norma Prince, Brenda and Mack Helms, Barbara and Roger Jenkins, Mitch and Angie Prince, Doug Prince, Diane Anderson, and Freda Prince; and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Beavers and Rev. Mark Tuttle officiating. Music was provided by By His Grace. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Terry Sparks, Shan and Jeff Bruce, Jeff Patterson, James Whitener, and Raymond Verner. Employees of Tri-State EMC served as honorary escort. A White Dove release followed the graveside services.
