Lynda Virginia Mann, age 78, of Murphy passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Lynda was born in Forsyth, Georgia to the late Ed Cooper and Dorothy Martin Cooper. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Rev. Gerald Mann; and siblings, Ray Cooper, Dwight Cooper, David Cooper, and Susie Cooper.

Lynda is survived by her sons, Gerald Steve (Mary) Mann, and Mitchell Scott (Linda) Mann; grandchildren, Kristy Mann and Nickala Creelman; great-grandchildren, Adan Hickey and Melody Hickey; sister-in-law, Barbara Cooper; brother-in-law, Richard Mann; and several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jerry Morrow and Rev. Mark Reid officiating. Music was provided by Janice Reid. Interment  followed in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Wolf Creek. Pallbearers were Tim Pack, Chris Vivian, Michael Harpe, Kevin Cooper, Allen Cooper, and Justin Cooper. Serving as an honorary pallbearer was Dennis Hedrick. The family visited with friends at Akins-Cobb of Copperhill on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
