Mrs. Jewell "Lucille" Jenkins Bishop, age 91, of Dallas, GA passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in the Delmar Gardens Smyrna in Smyrna, GA. Mrs. Bishop was born in Atlanta, GA on October 6, 1922 to the late John Raymond Bennett and Missouri Ann Rudaseal Bennett. She worked as a secretary for Fannin County School System, was a member and church secretary of Morganton Baptist Church, and was past worthy maiden of the Atlanta Eastern Star Chapter. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Avery Bennett, Carl Bennett, and Virgil Bennett. She is survived by a son, John C. Jenkins of Dallas, GA; daughter, Toni Newport of Marietta, GA; brother, Ralph Bennett of Hiram, GA; five grandchildren, Brannan, Rusty, Ginger, Donna, and Kenny; and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Morganton Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Music was by Debbie Jones.
