Louise Morrow West age 80 of Murphy NC passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born on September 29, 1936 in Belltown, Monroe County, TN. Mrs. West worked at the Life Care Center as a nursing assistant. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents, William Fate Morrow and Myrtle Garrett Morrow; husband, Dennis West; daughter, Vickie Gasper and sisters, Shirley Brendle, Carolyn Gaddis and Charlotte Dennis. Survivors are sons, Richard West of Murphy, NC and Russell West of Benton, TN; daughter, Teresa Thompson of Murphy, NC; brother, Cleaston Morrow of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Delora Hall of Ocoee, TN, Joyce Brendle of Farner, TN, Doris Karrantza of Acworth, GA, and Brenda McGlothen of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday evening, February 28, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ray Harper officiating. Music was by Janice Reid. Pallbearers were Woody, Dennis Morris, Brandon West, Chris Morrow, David Morrow and Derwin Brendle.
