Louise Miller Bailey, age 83, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in Blue Ridge, GA. Born on September 21, 1935 in Ellijay, GA, she was the daughter of the late James "Paul" Miller and Minnie Callihan Miller. She was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ. She worked for many years as a seamstress for several different clothes manufacturers in the area. She was a loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother. Louise enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to garden and maintain a beautiful lawn. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of others and selflessly gave her time to others. She loved animals, pets and the outdoors. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Kim Bailey; infant son, James Bailey; son, Mike Bailey; and grandson, Chad Stiles. She is survived by her children Donny (Karen) Bailey of Blairsville, Kathy and (Ken) Vaughn of Roswell; grandchildren, Jennifer (Stephen) Childers, Jenna (Chad) Scearce, Taylor Vaughn, Leslie Bittenbinder and Shelby Bittenbinder; great-grandchildren, Kenley Jo Scearce, Austin Childers, and Ally Childers ; a special thank you to her first cousin, Cathy Callihan. They enjoyed spending time together laughing, talking, enjoying old photos and fond family memories. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 11:00 am from Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones and Min. Terry Stuart officiate. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, March 29th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Blairsville Church of Christ Missionary Fund at P.O. Box 1605, Blairsville, GA 30514.
