Mrs. Loretta Kay Mealer, age 40, of Copperhill, TN passed away July 31, 2011 at her home. She loved flower gardening and was blessed to help others. She was of the Baptist Faith and proceeded in death by her father, Mr. Kenneth Mealer.Survivors include her husband, Frank Welch of Copperhill, TN; daughter, Kendall Mason of Copperhill, TN; mother, Frances Mealer of Copperhill, TN; siblings, Johnny and Beverly Mealer, and Cindy and Mark Holder all of Copperhill, TN, Connie and Dennis Hedrick of Mineral Bluff, GA and Anona and Jimmy Hemming of Ducktown, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday August 2, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins funeral home Chapel with Rev. David O'Neal and Rev. Gary Waters officiating. Music will be provided by Dennis Barnes. Interment will follow in the Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Johnny Mealer, Brice Holder, Andrew Holder, Josh Mealer, Paul Allen and Roger Ritchie.
