The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mrs. Lorene Frances White, age 78, of Turtletown, who passed away Monday, August 25th at her home. Mrs. White was born in Cherokee County, NC and was a daughter of the late William and Mamie Deaver Morgan. She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.She is survived by Step-son, Kenneth White of Murphy, NC; Step-daughter, Kathy McConnell of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Earl Morgan of Belleville, MI; sisters, Maggie Patterson of Ypsilanti, MI, Mattie Wilcox of Turtletown, TN; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 28th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Eric Waters officiating. Music will be by Stacy Waters. Pallbearers include Jeremy Harver, Jason Farner, Rick Hawk, Rex Wilcox, Bob Griffith and James Cochran. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
