Mrs. Lois M. Eavenson, age 81, a beloved wife, mother and friend who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2007 following a brief illness. She loved the Lord, her family and friends, humming birds, flowers, frogs, cats, dogs and crafts. Born in Perry Sound, Ontario she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Gregoire. She was a licensed cosmetologist graduating from cosmetology school in 1966 in Berea, OH.
She was also preceded in death by one beloved son, Doug E. Freed; brothers, Grant Gregoire, Ronald Gregoire.
Survivors include her husband of fifty seven years of marriage, Paul Eavenson of Blue Ridge, one daughter and son-in-law, Mary F. and Hal Williamson of Copperhill, TN; three sons and two daughter-in-laws, Paul L. and Deborah Eavenson of Morganton, GA, Dale L. and Sheila Eavenson of Epworth, GA and Randy L. Eavenson of Blue Ridge; brothers and sister-in-law, James and Lisa Gregoire of MI, and Clifford Gregoire of OH; sisters and brother-in-laws, Darlene and Dave Long of OH and Diane and Robert Duquette of Ontario, Canada; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; special sister-in-laws, Viola Nassano of OH, Jean Noss of FL and Anne Gregoire of OH; and special canine companion, Peanut of the home.
Memorial services were conducted on Tuesday October 9, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music was provided by Doug Simonds.
