Lois Marie Duncan, age 76, of Copperhill, TN, passed away Friday, May 22, 2009 in the Copper Basin Medical Center. Lois was born in Kingsport, TN to the late Ben Roy and Martha Jane Browder Cole. She was a homemaker and a member of the Staffordtown Holiness Church. Lois enjoyed working in her garden, sewing and making handmade quilts. She loved helping others and was a "mother" to many. Lois was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Taylor White.She is survived by her loving husband of fifty six years, Frank Duncan of the home; two daughters Elizabeth and husband, David Rider of Nelson, GA, Sharon and husband, Sonny Payne of Copperhill, TN; three brothers, Jim Cole, L.B. Cole and Larry Cole, all of Kingsport, TN; one sister, Ruth Morgan of Kingsport, TN; four grandchildren, Sandra White, Brandy Jenkins, Melissa Dilbeck and David Rider; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 25, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. John Wynn officiating. Music was by T.J. Crowder and Ann Prince.
