The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces funeral services for Lois Louise Dilbeck, age 85, of Ducktown who passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Mrs. Dilbeck was born in Polk County to the late George Henry and Ima Long Payne. She was a member of the Mine City Baptist Church where she was actively involved with the WMU. She was a homemaker who loved and enjoyed her family. She enjoyed making quilts for loved ones and friends. She was also preceded in death by son, Jerry Glen Dilbeck and siblings Ed Payne, Hoyt Payne and Dora Lee Gibson. She is survived by children, Don H. (Barbara Jean ) Dilbeck of Ducktown, TN, Doug (Jodie) Dilbeck of Ducktown, TN, Danny (Una Vee) Dilbeck of Ducktown, TN, Ronnie (Susie) Dilbeck of Murphy, NC, Nancy (Billy Joe) Barnes of Ducktown, TN, Peggy Abercrombie of Blairsville, GA; brother, Robert Payne of Ducktown,TN; fourteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 28th at 11:00 AM from the Mine City Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Mrs. Dilbeck will lie in state at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Music will be by the Mine City Trio, Mary Lou Davis and Amy Carter. Gentleman serving as pallbearers include Jim Abercrombie, Dwight Dilbeck, Glynn Dilbeck, Stevie Abercrombie, Tim Dilbeck, Jeremy Dilbeck, Nick Dilbeck and Billy Joe Barnes. The Mine City WMU and the Hannah Sunday School Class at Mine City Baptist Church will serve as an Honorary Escort. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Dilbeck may be made to the Gideon's International in care of Don Mason and the East Polk County Camp at P.O. Box 485 Copperhill, TN 37317.
