Lloyd Hicks, age 85, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on September 9, 1940, in Copperhill, Tennessee, Lloyd was the son of the late Isaac "Jake" Hicks and Helen Holmes Bell Hicks. Lloyd was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Copperhill, Tennessee. He also served proudly as a Master Mason and was a member of Copperhill Lodge #656 F & AM.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and was passionate about hunting and firearms. He especially enjoyed participating in turkey shoots. An avid motorcyclist, he also appreciated classic cars and hot rods. He was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah Geraldine Cox Hicks; son, Casey Shane Hicks; and siblings, Rody Hicks, Frances Hicks Wilcox, Mona Hicks Ray, and Daniel Hicks.

He is survived by his beloved son, Cody Hicks of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchild, Tylor Hicks; great-grandchild, Lana Brooke Hicks lovingly known as "The Kid"; siblings, Grady Hicks of Benton, TN and Rachel Davis of Epworth, GA; daughter-in-law, Tammy Knight of Blue Ridge, GA; many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended relatives and dear friends.

Graveside services were held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill, TN with Rev. Al Patterson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Adam Cruse, Cody Hicks, Raymond Thomas, Johnny Mealer, Stacy Dills, and Joey Cox. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jeff Taylor, James Hyatt, Josh Taylor, Jimmy Hemming, Kent Hicks, and Jimmy Cox.

The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb of Blue Ridge, GA on Sunday evening, November 30, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
