Dr. Lisa Michelle Barker Galloway, age 50, of Copperhill, TN passed away Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born in Copperhill, TN on August 3, 1966. Lisa was a loving wife, mother and grammy. She retired working as the Human Resources Director for Pickens County Board of Education, she was also the former Assistant Principal of Pickens County High School and a former educator for Polk County, TN schools. Her father, Frankie J. Barker and father-in-law, Roy Edward Galloway, Sr. precedes her in death.Survivors include her husband of twenty five years, Roy Edward Galloway, Jr.; children, Amber "Tina" Hayes and fiancee, B.J. Howard, Ryan Connor Galloway and Kimberly Susan Galloway all of Copperhill, TN; adopted daughter, Sarah Michelle Rooker of Jasper, GA; mother, Christine Barker of Copperhill, TN;grandmother, Irene Davenport of McCaysville, GA life long best friend, Dana (Ricky) Peak of Copperhill, TN; grandchildren, Channing Mechele Beach, Brintlie Nikole Beach and Zackery Tanner Beach; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Jacinda Barker of Turtletown, TN; nephew, Cole Barker of Copperhill, TN; mother-in-law, Lois June Galloway of Copperhill; numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Nicholson officiating. Music was provided by Rev. David and Tammy Nicholson. Interment followed at a later date in the Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery.
