The Akins Funeral of Copperhill announces the death of Linda Dale Ledford, age 59, of Farner, TN who passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was employed with the Polk County School System working in the cafeteria as a cook at Copper Basin. She was a person who loved the outdoors and also enjoyed fishing. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Branson Mayton. She is survived by her loving husband of forty three years, David Ledford of the home; sons, Tim (Jennifer) Ledford and Shawn (Evan) Ledford, both of Benton, TN; daughter, Renee (James) Payne of Farner, TN; her father, L.D. Mayton of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Rochelle Payne, Trevor Payne, Tyler Ledford, Brandon Ledford, Zady Ledford, Dylan and Bree Osborne "Ledford". Many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 11th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Eddie Trentham and Rev. Scotty Martin officiating. Music will be by the Kenny O'Neal Family. Pallbearers include, Tyler Ledford, Brandon Ledford, Jimmy Trentham, Seth Farmer, Jim White and J.C. Sailor. Trevor Payne will serve as an honorary escort. Interment will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church cemetery with a dove release concluding the service.
