Linda Faye Hicks, age 70, of Farner, TN, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017. Linda was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late George Rooney and Evelyn Omega Nicholson Hughes. She had worked as a waitress in area restaurants. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Towee Baptist Church in Springtown, TN. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Hicks, grandchild, Joseph Hicks and siblings Diane Goode Allen and Lois Goode.She is survived by her children, John (Monty) Hicks of Farner, TN, Tim (Janie) Hicks of Benton, TN, Thomas (Alex) Hicks of Crossville, TN, Sharon Murrell (Ronnie) of Tellico Plains, TN, Leola Bottoms of Farner, TN, Tracy (Bob) Stewart of Murphy, NC; brother, Douglas Goode of Etowah, TN; Twelve grandchildren; Twelve great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Dills and Rev. Mitchell Allen officiating. Music will be by Cassey Dillard, Clara Reid & Andrea Bateman, Michael & Kelly McKinney. Pallbearers include, Patrick Hicks, Eli Hicks, Isaac Hicks, Stacy Mashburn, Kevin Manning, Taylor Housewright. Honorary pallbearers include T.J. Hicks, Melvin Hicks, Bill Manning, Jon Kimsey, Zach White and Daniel Skelton. Interment will follow in the Brock cemetery.
