Mrs. Linda Lorene Goddard, age 74, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. She was born on June 6, 1950 in Copperhill, Tennessee to the late Homer Robert Hughes and Ellie Lorene Parris Hughes. Linda was devoted in the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, solving puzzles, thrifting, and crafting. Most of all, she enjoyed the time spent with her beloved family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Clifton Ray Deal, Sr. and Hank Lee Goddard; and brother, James Robert "Rabbit" Hughes.

Linda is survived by her children, Angela Lorene "Susie" Suit (Scott) of Mineral Bluff, GA, Lora Eisenhart (Les) of Mineral Bluff, GA, and Clifton Deal, Jr. (Christy) of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Joshua Suit, Joseph Henry (Linda), Emily Wibel (Scott), Jacob Henry (Samantha), Jonah Henry (Catie), Josiah Eisenhart, Jaron Deal (Ashlee), Jordan Deal, and Taylor Deal; great-grandchildren, Carson Newman, E.J. Henry, Noah Henry, Cayden Newman, Mason Henry, Tatum Henry, Atlas Henry, Oliver Henry, and one on the way; siblings, Mary Chancey of Ellijay, GA, Betty Burnette (Jim) of Blue Ridge, GA, Brenda Darlene Whaley of Morganton, GA, Thomas Hughes (Melissa) of Athens, TN, William Hughes (Lois) of Blue Ridge, GA, Johnny Hughes (Angie) of Blue Ridge, GA; sister-in-law, Geraldine Hughes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Doyle Davis, Rev. Randy Hughes, and Rev. Jon Milsaps officiating. Music was provided by Brenda Milsaps and Jody Milsaps. Eulogies were given by Joseph Henry and Emily Wibel. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Danny Chancey, Barry Hughes, Joseph Henry, Jonah Henry, Jaron Deal, and Jacob Henry. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers were: Matthew Mealer, Josiah Eisenhart, Joshua Suit, Bobby Hughes, Brian Pope, and Scott Wibel. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 14, prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
