Mrs. Linda Joyce Estes, age 73, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Estes was born in Chattanooga, TN on September 5, 1942 to the late Donald Pemberton and Dorothy Kersey Permberton. She was a member of First Baptist Church McCaysville/Copperhill, a volunteer for Stitches of Love and enjoyed knitting and shopping. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Estes of Mineral Bluff; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Howard Rogers of Woodstock, GA and Teresa and Rick Jacobs of Chadds Ford, PA; three grandchildren, Zachary Jacobs, Samantha Jacobs, and Alexandra Jacobs; and a brother, Donald Pemberton of Chickamauga, GA. Memorial services were held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the First Baptist Church McCaysville/Copperhill with Rev. Matthew McDaniel officiating. Music was by Harry Gilbert, Ed Vest and Clarence Burlingame. Donations in memory of Mrs. Estes may be made to Pruitt Hospice 6050 Appalachian Highway Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
