Linda Grace Arp, age 70, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 in Hampton, GA. Born on January 2, 1947 in Blue Ridge, GA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Breeden and Nina Shell Breeden. She was of the Christian faith. She managed several Majik Markets for a number of years and then later was a driver for Associated Courier until her retirement. She loved cooking, baking, reading, and watching old movies. She is survived by her husband of nearly 51 years, Jerry Arp of the home; daughter, Angie Arp of Griffin, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Connie Gail Arp of Talking Rock; grandson, Billy Fowler; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Britany and Brad Howard; great grandchildren, Maci Fowler and Braylen Howard; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Anne Breeden of Cherry Log; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann Panter and Harold Mobley of Marietta and Evelyn and Fred Grizzle of Cumming; sister, Paulette Twiggs of Epworth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Martha Breeden of Blue Ridge, Claire Arp of Mineral Bluff, Morgan and Mary Arp of Blue Ridge, Sid and Sharon Arp of Epworth, Richard and Sandra Arp of Mineral Bluff, and Sybil and Robert Brown of McCaysville; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 4:00 pm from Akins Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge. Rev. Denny Hawkins will officiate. Music will be provided by David Anderson and Rev. Denny Hawkins. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park. Billy Fowler, Brad Howard, Joe Breeden, John Twiggs, Doug Grizzle, and Butch Anderson will serve as pallbearers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to your local Humane Society.
