The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Lillie Evelyn Elmore, age 66, of Mineral Bluff who passed away Thursday, November 8, 2007 in the Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. Born in Ellijay, GA, she was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Edgar McKinish. She worked as an office manager in the health care field. She was a member of World Harvest Church. She is survived by her husband Robert Neal Elmore of the home; mother, Lillie McKinish of Mineral Bluff; daughters, Dawn (Prissy) Merrell of Mineral Bluff and April Whittenbarger of Broken Arrow, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Foster and Janet McKinish of Mineral Bluff; special aunt, Betty Cooper of Blairsville, GA; and 5 grandchildren, will be Robbie Merrell, Ryan Merrell, Kory Merrell, Aaron Merrell, and Gracie Whittenbarger. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Elder Terry Schmid officiating. Pallbearers will be Thomas Merrell, Jr., David Whittenbarger, Timmy Elmore, David Elmore, Arthur McKinnish and Robbie Merrell. A private family burial will follow in the Elmore Family Plot. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Mrs. Elmore may be made to the Thyroid Cancer Association P.O.
