Mrs. Lillian Brown Jones, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Ducktown, TN. She moved to Blue Ridge in 1999, from Bremen, Georgia. She was a retired seamstress with Sewell Manufacturing Company of Bremen. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge, Georgia. She was born on July 12, 1918 in Polk County, Georgia. She was a daughter of James J. and Willa Belle Alexander Brown. She married was October 20, 1939 to J.T. Jones. He preceded her in death in 1986.She was survived by daughter, Nancy J. Harris and son-in-law, Tommy R. Harris of Morganton, GA; grandson, Joseph R. Dukes; granddaughter, Kelli H. Daley and husband, Daniel Daley; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn B. Daley of Sugar Land, TX; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Maddox, Mrs. Aline Entrekin and Mrs. Marcelle Tarpley of Bremen, Georgia; brothers, Jim Brown, of Hickory, North Carolina and Edd Brown of Bremen, Georgia; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Bremen First Baptist Church in Breman, GA with Rev. Herman Parker officiating. Pallbearers were Noble Brown, Russell Brown, Gregg Brown, Al Bridges, Jerry Lanier, and Keith Jones. Interment followed in Forest Park Memorial Garden in Bremen. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
