Mr. Lewin Arvil White, age 79, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his residence. Mr. White was born in Fannin County on March 17, 1932 to the late John and Lassie Rhodes White. He was employed thirty-six years with Fannin County Road Department as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. White was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a member of Mineral Bluff Masonic Lodge #483 F&AM. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Morris; brothers, Bill White, Elvin White, Ulon White, Raymond White, Arlen White and Weldon White. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Blanche Sisson White of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jo Ann White of Blue Ridge, GA; grandson, Jonathan Paul White; grand-daughter and husband, Teresa and Mitchell Martin; great-grandchildren, Daisy White, Alex Stover, Kaleb Martin, Brady Martin and Conner Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Dollie and Ray Loving of McCaysville, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Music was by Mike and Gina Coleman, Anthony "Champ" Prince and Gloria Herr. Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Young officiating. Pallbearers were Raymond White, Jr., Willie White, Jr., Danny White, Ray Watkins, Arnold Watkins, Chris White, Reid Mathis and Donnie Dilbeck.
