Letecia Eloise, affectionately known to family and friends as "Susie" Calano, age 59 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009. "Susie" was born in Polk County, TN to the late Joe P. and Willetta Curtis Hardy. She was employed as a school bus driver with the Sevier County, TN Board of Education and was a member of the Staffordtown Holiness Church.She is survived by husband, Ricky Hensley of the home; two sons, Michael Calano of Spring Hill, FL and Thomas Mark Calano of Jacksonville, FL; brother Phillip Hardy of Copperhill, TN; sister, Doris Norwood of Sevierville, TN; four grandchildren, Sierra Snow Calano, Michael Paul Calano, Jr., Mycayla Sky Calano and Arizona Rain Calano; many other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 24th at 2:00 PM from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Brother John Wynn officiating. Music was by Brother and Mrs. John Wynn. Pallbearers included Lynn Kennedy, B.R. Ledford, Rodney Sawyer, Randy Hensley, Jonathan Hughes, Michael P. Calano and Thomas Mark Calano. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Airport Road. The family request donations in memory of Mrs. Calano be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
