The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mr. Leonard E. Green, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA who passed away Wednesday, March 02, 2011 in the Nation Health Care in Rossville, GA. Mr. Green was born on August 13, 1930 in Fannin County, GA to the late Albert Green and Mattie Queen Green. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by brothers, Thomas Green, Wade Green, Freddie Green, and James Green, all of Blue Ridge and Albert Green of Morganton, GA; sisters, Margaret Bell of Mineral Bluff, GA, Mildred Elletton of Ellijay, GA, and Evelyn Frazier of Blue Ridge. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Ray Hughes officiating. Pallbearers will be Hoyt Green, Jobo Flowers, Wesley Green, Albert Green, Ricky Morgan, and Kenneth Bell. Interment will follow in Welcome Hill #2 Church Cemetery.
