Mrs. Lennie Brown Miller Sigmon, age 98, formerly of Ducktown, passed away June 5, 2014 peacefully, after a short illness, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Epworth, GA. She was born in Polk County, TN on May 26, 1916 to the late Henry H. and Dora Runion Brown and lived her entire life, until the last six years, in Polk County. She was a member of Mine City Baptist Church, but attended Epworth First Baptist Church. Being widowed at an early age, she went to work for Tennessee Copper Company and retired there under Cities Service Company in 1978 after thirty-three years service. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her two husbands, H.D. "Boss" Miller, the father of her children, and Marshall H. Sigmon, whom she was married to for thirty-three years, a grandson, Jeffrey Lynn Mason, sister, Lois B. Ball, brother, Hoyt T. Brown and twin brother, C.L.Brown.Mrs. Sigmon's memory will be treasured forever by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph H. and Wanda Miller of Jacksonville, FL, two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ruth and Mark Kimsey of Union City, GA, Margaret and C.W. "Junior" Mason of Epworth, GA. Also eight Grandchildren, eighteen Great-grandchildren and ten Great-great-grandchildren survive. Also a host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends survive.Funeral services were Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m.in the chapel of Akins Funeral Home, Copperhill with Dr. Tom Jordan, Dr. Chan Mitchell and Rev. Darwin Caldwell officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Doug Simonds. Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery, Turtletown, TN with a memorial White Dove Release concluding the service. Pallbearers were Russ Kimsey, Joe Kimsey, Bill Mason, Randy Pittman, Dale Reynolds and Jimmy Riddick.
