Mr. Lee Roy Johnson, age 83, of McCaysville, GA passed away July 10, 2012 in the Life Care Center in Ducktown, TN. Born in Fannin County, GA he was the son of the late Ernest Akins and Lelia Mae Dockery Johnson. He was a retired operator for the Tennessee Chemical Company. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Gray Johnson; brothers, Earl and Rev. Clinton Johnson; sisters, Delores "Ann" Johnson Mashburn, Lucille Johnson Campbell and Imogene Johnson Smith.Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kathy Johnson of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Rev. Randall and Mescal Johnson of Marble, NC, Lynn and Georgia Johnson of Englewood, TN, Kenneth "Reece" and Joyce Johnson of Copperhill, TN; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Sue Whitener of Ducktown, TN, Catherine and Leland Burger of Copperhill, TN; grandchildren, Brittany and Mathew Johnson both of Blue Ridge. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday July 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Danny Queen officiating.
