Lawrence Cole Hyatt, age 90 of Farner, TN passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Blairsville, GA. He was born on July 24, 1934, in Bryson City, NC to the late Cole and Fannie Brendle Hyatt. Lawrence graduated from Murphy High School. He was owner of Discount Pets in Blue Ridge, GA, Ellijay, GA, Jasper, GA, and Kingsport, TN until his retirement in 1997. Lawrence was a member, deacon, and elder of Farner Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geneva Price Hyatt; and son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Kristi Hyatt.

Survivors are his children and their spouses, Judy and Russell McMillan, Donna and Patrick Anderson, Terry Rose, and Ken and Karen Hyatt; grandchildren, Tracie McMillan (Ken Kingsley), Penny McMillan (Ricky) Hughes, Bella Anderson, Nathan Hyatt, William Hyatt, Andrew Hyatt, Robert Hyatt, Dea Hyatt, and Duane Hyatt; great-grandchildren, Mila Hughes, R.C. (Shelby) Beaver, and Makala Beaver; and great-great-grandchildren, Winter Beaver, Wilson Beaver, Wrenly Beaver, and Damien Cole Hyatt.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM from the Farner Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wayne Carter and Rev. Bill Kelly officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family visited with friends at the church on Thursday from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Farner Presbyterian Church at 138 Underwood Drive, Farner, TN 37333 or to the Lauada Cemetery at 1166 Franklin Grove Church Road, Bryson City, NC 28713.
