Mrs. Laura "Lou" Addington, age 60, of Morganton, GA passed away on October 29, 2013. Born in Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late J.B. and Dolores Woody Addington. She was a member of the Highland Baptist Tabernacle.Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Jason Long; sister and brother-in-law, April and Dr. Greg McHan; grandchildren Waylon Arrowood, Cassandra Long and Travis Long all of Morganton, GA.Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 3, at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Thrasher officiating. Music will be by The Thomas Family. Interment will follow in the Morganton Baptist Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jason Long, Dr. Greg McHan, Chase McHan, Ken Adams, Gary Lance and Larry Lance. Honorary Pallbearer will be Orvin Lance. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. Donations may be made to help defray final expenses.
