Larry Lee Nicholson, age 70, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2018 in Atlanta, GA. He was born on January 17, 1948 in Ellijay, GA to the late Kenneth and Irene Ralston Nicholson. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. He worked as an electrician for Shaw Industries. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Peggy Allen Nicholson; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Alicia Nicholson of Seymour, TN and Jeremy and Tonya Nicholson of Island Park, ID; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Shannon Goble of Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Jacob Nicholson, Emily Nicholson, and Mazie Goble; brothers and sisters-in-law, Travis and Brenda Nicholson of Blue Ridge and Kevin and Kathy Nicholson of Blue Ridge; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Al Newell of Buford and Brenda and Wayne Elrod of Douglasville. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Mims officiating. Interment followed in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Daniel Allen, David Queen, Mark Nicholson, Derek Nicholson, Drew Anderson, and Tim Bauman.
