Mr. Larry Burton, better known as "Red" Carruth, age 62, of Dallas, GA passed away on Tuesday October 13, 2009 at his home. Born in Ducktown, TN he was the son of the late Prince and Oneda Suiter Carruth. He worked in Car Sales for a number of years and was involved in music much of his life. He served his country in the United States Navy.Survivors include his wife Patsy Carruth of Dallas, GA, sons and daughter-in-laws, Kevin and Kristen Carruth and Jason and Pam Carruth all of Douglasville, GA; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Rebecca Hulvey of Paulding County, GA and Shane and Ashley Hulvey of Haralson, GA; daughter, Kristy Burson of Douglasville, GA; fourteen grandchildren also survive.Funeral services were conducted Friday, October 16, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Ledford officiating. Pallbearers were Eric Hulvey, Don Miller, Sammy Patterson, Jason Carruth, Greg Stepp, and John Miller. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of the arrangements. .
