The Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill announces the death of Mr. Lake Arvil Ledford, age 93, of Turtletown, who passed away Saturday, December 22, in the Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland, TN. Lake was a native of the Copper Basin area and was retired as a Security Guard. He was a member of the Ducktown Lodge # 241 F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by grandsons, Dwight Jones & Jeff Jones.He is survived by daughters Grace Page of Cleveland, TN, Jewell Allen of Turtletown, TN; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 26th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Shannon Spurling officiating. Music will be by Clara Reid, Andrea Bateman and Michael Rose. Pallbearers include David Jones, Brandon Jones, Michael Rose, Perry Reid, Claude Shell and Aaron Jones. Interment will follow in the Turtletown Church of God cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
