Kimsey G. Norton, lovingly known as Kim, age 77, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at his home.

He was born on July 31, 1947 in Blue Ridge, Georgia to Sam Hara Norton and Ethel Marylou Brooks Norton. Kim was a member of River Valley Baptist Church. He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator.

Kim is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Taylor Norton; siblings, Ben Norton, Willamae Dale (Larry), Linda Sue Norton, and Margaret Ann Weeks "Jo"; and nephew, Benjamin Lewis "Buck" Norton.

He is survived by his beloved wife with whom he spent 58 beautiful years, Brenda Norton; children, Eric Norton, Troy Norton (Connie), Tammy Norton Bryan (Jack), and Leroy Norton (Teresa); grandchildren, Tyler Patterson (Peyton), Amber Norton Fowler ( Thomas), Breanna Barton (Gage Clore), Chase Norton (Hailey), James Chandler (Tiffany), and Jacqulynn McCreary; great-grandchildren, Landon Jenkins, Easton Patterson, Grayson Patterson, Simeon Patterson, Amelia Fowler, Violet Fowler, Ryleigh Fowler,  Savannah Chandler, and Samuel Chandler; siblings, Lorena Norton and Myrtle Robinson; many other extended relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Mark Huff and Rev. Eric Davenport officiating. Music was provided by Nancy Norton Ritchie, Betty Norton Stanley, Amanda Stewart, and Gerome Stewart. Interment followed in the Norton Family Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Chase Norton, Thomas Fowler, Jack Bryan, Gage Clore, Coy Norton, James "Kat Bird" Norton, and Bobby Weeks. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jason Tanner, Tom Carroll, Gavin Clore, Jason Dale, Joshua Norton, and Brantlee Norton. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, May 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
