Kimberly Dawn Terry, age 52, of Ducktown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She was born in Roanoke, AL on May 24, 1969. She was a devoted member of The Rock Church in Blairsville. She earned her Master's Degree and was a special education teacher. Later she worked as a Communications Officer for Gilmer County Sheriff's Office. She was a loving and compassionate person who touched the lives of all who came to know her. She is preceded in death by her son, Edward Clarke Terry. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Marah Howard of Lawrenceville and Elizabeth and Nickey Hansen of Blue Ridge; granddaughter, Sophie Howard; parents, Yates and Brenda Howard; brother, Robby Howard; nephew, Dawson Howard; and niece, Reese Hardeman. Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Dotson officiating. Music will be provided by the Dotson family. The Gilmer County Sheriff's Office will provide an Honor Guard. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
