Lonas Keith Cheatham, age 66, and Sheri Diane Thomas Cheatham, age 52, of Ducktown passed away together on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at their home. Keith was born on January 14, 1958 in Copperhill to the late Kenneth Birch Cheatham and Lois Womble Cheatham. Sheri was born on August 25, 1971 in Copperhill to the late J.M. Thomas and Joyce Hughes Thomas. They were married for over 20 years and blended their families together.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Crystal Smith; infant brother, Nathan Lewis Cheatham; cousin, Keith Day; and best friend, Larry Adams.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents; and special friend, Joanie Kyle.

Together, they are survived by their children, Amanda Cheatham, Bryan Cheatham, Keisha Cheatham, Jennifer Cheatham, Eddie Cheatham, and Tyler Gibson; grandchildren, Austin Smith, Bailey Hogsed, Alicia Cheatham, Dalton Wray, Lynna Cheatham, Henry Cheatham, Hazel Gibson, and Adam Gibson; Keith's sisters, Elaine (Herman) Mashburn, Donna Kay Cheatham, Kathy Cheatham, and Connie Cheatham; and Sheri's brothers, Barry (Beth) Thomas, Larry (Beth) Thomas, and Gary (Melissa) Thomas.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 3:00 PM from the Legacy Community Church with Rev. Doug Payne and Rev. Mark Reid officiating. Music will be provided by the Legacy Community Church Praise Team and Linda Gibson. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Irvin Melton, Randy Raper, Larry Thomas, Barry Thomas, and Gary Thomas. A private interment will follow in the Turtletown Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will take place at Akins-Cobb of Copperhill on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM. The procession will leave the funeral home at approximately 2:15 PM to Legacy Community Church.
