Kathy Louise Wilcox, age 64, of Turtletown passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Kathy was born on January 4, 1962 in Copperhill to the late Lloyd Dunn and Mattie Womble. She was a member of Community Baptist Church. Kathy enjoyed sewing. Her greatest love and enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Bebaw".

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband of over 39 years, Rex Alvin Wilcox; parents, Lloyd and Mattie Dunn; siblings, James Dunn, Jack Dunn, Martha Wooten, and Reegene Taylor; and brother-in-law, Sonny Payne.

She is survived by her children, Alvin (Stephanie) Wilcox of Blue Ridge, Tonya (Clint) Howell of Robbinsville, and Brittany (Matt) Jordan of Morganton; grandchildren, Kadence Howell, James Colt Colvin, Ashley Howell, Oakley Howell, Jonathan Jordan, and Brayden Wilcox; brothers, Wade (April) Dunn, Tommy Dunn, and Bobby (Pat) Dunn; sisters, Mary (Lee) Jones, Rosie Payne, and Glenda (Larry) Farner; and sister-in-law, Lily Dunn.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Community Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Allen and Rev. Rex Allen Sellers officiating. Music will be provided by Paul Ray and Linda Morgan. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin Wilcox, Mike Pickelsimer, Jason Farner, Bill Taylor, Colt Colvin, and James Cochran. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cleaston Taylor and Randall Payne. The family will receive friends at Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
