Mrs. Kathleen C. Walden, better known as "Midge", passed away on January 26, 2023 at her home at the age of 84. She was born in Copperhill, TN to the late Cecil and Loreen Brooks Collis. She was a long time member of the Pantertown Baptist Church. Midge enjoyed gardening and working in her yard and especially mowing. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Benny Van Walden; children, Patricia Walden and Darrell Walden; siblings, Carol Jones and Judy Collis.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert T. Harper of Mineral Bluff, GA, Van and Crystal Walden of Morganton, GA, Dewayne and Sandra Walden of Blue Ridge, GA and Richard Walden of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter-in-law, Melissa Walden of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, Jill (Brad) Hawkins, Brandi (Jeremy) Collis, Summer (Brandon) Mathis, Adam Walden, Derick (Lindsy) Walden, Jessica Walden, Lindsey (Josh) Lane, Chanley (Micah) O'Neal and Ayla Walton; great grandchildren, Easton Mathis, Cooper Mathis, Hudson Mathis, Avery Collis, Brayden Collis, Jenna Mosley, Kamden Becker and Bristol Hawkins; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Karen Collis of Copperhill, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda Brackett of Blue Ridge, GA, Joy and Sandy Walden of McCaysville, GA and Jane and Dwight Morrow of Marietta, GA; special caregiver, Cindy Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Donald Weaver officiating. Music was provided by Jeremy Collis. Interment followed in the Pan-Will Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Robert Harper, Van Walden, Dewayne Walden, Richard Walden, Derick Walden and Adam Walden.
