Mrs. Katherine "Sue" Marie White, age 79, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Sue was born on September 27, 1945, in Hiwassee Dam, North Carolina, to the late Pearlie and Inez Henderson. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a devoted member of Staffordtown Church.

She found great joy in traveling-especially camping adventures, beach getaways, and girl's trips. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and attending church, where she enjoyed both worship and fellowship.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Max Cross; her husband of over 30 years, Ernest White; and brothers, Kenneth Henderson and Wade Henderson.

She is survived by her daughters, Maxine (Kyle) Edwards and Pam (Rodney) Ensley; grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Stanley, Brittney Ensley, Nathan (Sabrina) Ensley, Jordan Ensley, Tyler Ensley, Colby Edwards, Tanner Edwards, Brannon Edwards, and Kollyn Edwards; and great-grandchildren, Miley Ensley, Luke Ensley, Easton Edwards, Bryer Duvall, Makenzie Duvall, Carsyn Cornelius, Kaelin Cornelius, and Kylee Cornelius. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and numerous bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services to honor and celebrate Mrs. White's life were held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel, with Rev. Justin Payne officiating. Music was provided by the Ensley Family, The Ensley Brothers, and Ruby Payne. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tyler Ensley, Bryer Duvall, Scott Stanley, Jason Hawkins, Arnold Cross, and Jason Tanner. Honorary pallbearers included Luke Ensley, Jase White, and Cole White.

The family visited with friends at Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge on Tuesday evening, August 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour at 5:00 p.m.
