Katherine Virginia Lankford, age 76, of McCaysville, passed away Saturday, March 29th in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Katherine was a native of Fannin County and was a daughter of the late Brownlow and Minnie Suit Dalton. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Methodist Church in Chicago, IL.She was survived by two sons, David Lankford of Douglasville, GA and Danny Lankford of Fitzgerald, GA; two daughters, Mary Jo Lankford and Barbara Ann Barton, both of Chicago, IL.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service was conducted Monday, March 31st at 2:00 p.m. from the Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Graves officiating.
