Katherine Rose Davis, age 68 of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 in the Skyridge Medical Center in Cleveland, TN. Born in Lucas County, OH, on April 19, 1939, she was the daughter to the late Othineal Willington and Jennie Johanna Leasor Blanchard. She had worked in the textile industry as a belt looper. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church #1. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob David and Othineal Russell Blanchard; one sister Madonna Johanna Cassidy. She was survived by her husband, Walter H. Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Willie and Sabina Tipton of Blue Ridge, GA and Jacob and Melinda Maney Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Larry Seabolt of Blue Ridge, GA, Jennie and Glenn Lambert of Charleston, SC and Sandy and Nicky Nicholson of Hiawassee, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Jennie Bell and Neal Kirk of Temperance, MI; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews survive.Funeral services were conducted Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Music was by the A.C. Caylor Family. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill (Hardscrabble Road) Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Lynn Seabolt, Michael Lovingood, Brandon Tipton, Terry Tipton, Dale Ray and Nicky Nicholson. Honorary pallbearers were Glenn Lambert and Raymond Lambert.
