Mrs. Kansas Mealer Kilpatrick, age 89, of Murphy, NC passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Kilpatrick was of the Baptist Faith and was retired as a Machine Operator in Textiles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Windom Marshall Kilpatrick. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, S.J. & Kathleen Kilpatrick of Marietta, GA; grandchild, Stacy Kilpatrick of Calhoun, GA; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Kilpatrick, Riley Kilpatrick and Davis Kilpatrick. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 14th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jesse Kilpatrick officiating. Pallbearers include Stacy Kilpatrick, MacKenzie Kilpatrick, Riley Kilpatrick, S.J. Kilpatrick and Davis Kilpatrick. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill cemetery.
