Justin Lindsay Hamby, age 40, of Murphy, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Canton, GA. Justin was born on January 16, 1983 in Cleveland, TN to Anthony and Diane Hamby. He worked as a maintenance director for Cherokee County, NC. Justin loved going to church and being a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and was an avid North Carolina Tar Heels fan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl Baker, Jack Simonds, Wayne Hamby, Vera Hamby Lefevers and Lynn Lefevers.

Justin is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Chrystal Hamby of the home; sons, Justus Oaklyn Hamby and Cashus Jaxon Hamby of the home; parents, Anthony and Diane Hamby of Murphy, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Jill Hamby of Murphy, NC; nephews, Jaylan Hamby and Jonah Hamby; grandmother, Dorothy Baker Simonds; and many close friends.

Graveside services were conducted on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jonthan Hughes and Rev. Josh Ledford officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Neal Murphy, Joshua Matheson, Nathan Harbin, Joey Baker, Dexter Stiles, and Andrew Graham. Honorary pallbearers were Anthony Hamby, Jason Hamby, Justus Hamby, Cashus Hamby, Jonah Hamby, and Joshua Raper. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinscobb.com.
